FAQ:

Q: I am a young and healthy expatriate. Do I need health insurance?
A: Health insurance is always necessary. At the very least, hospitalization coverage is a must in case of an accident as hospitalization cost can be very expensive.

Q: I am employed by my company. I do not know if/what I am covered. What should I ask our HR?
A: Please ask your HR if your company purchases health insurance for you. If yes, what is the coverage, does it cover hospitalization/non-hospitalization, what is the annual maximum limit, does it cover private clinics or special department of public hospitals, is it an international coverage? If you need, we will be glad to help you review the policy to see if it meets your needs.

Q: How much does health insurance cost?
A: It depends on the coverage, age, medical conditions, geography, etc. Please feel free to contact us to get a free quotation.

Q: If I have an accident here, for example, car accident, can health insurance cover it?
A: Yes, all health insurance product covers accidental medical. The difference lies in the maximum limit.

Q: Can health insurance cover dental?
A: Yes, we do have insurance products with dental coverage.

Q: I still have some insurance in my home country. Do I need insurance here?
A: Generally, your insurance from your home country covers the medical cost in your home country only. For international medical cost, it will either be excluded or only cover a small amount. If you are staying abroad long enough, for example, 3 months, you should consider buying an international medical or travel insurance.

Q: Do I need to do medical check-up to apply for international medical or travel insurance?
A: No need. On the application form, medical questionnaire is enclosed. You just need to answer the medical questions. For major pre-existing medical conditions, you will be requested to provide recent medical report.

Q: As a Chinese national, can I have insurance that covers private clinics and special department of public hospitals?
A: Yes, we provide such coverage for both expatriates and Chinese. Some insurance products even offer direct billing within their network of clinics and hospitals.
